We are seeking an experienced Platform Owner. This role is based in Wendell, NC., with Remote opportunities.

This platform serves as a critical enabler for our customers in Data Center, Utility, and Industrial markets, providing real-time access to equipment data, service history, predictive maintenance insights, and digital support tools. You will play a key role in shaping digital customer experience, optimizing service workflows, and ensuring that our platform drives business value by increasing operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue from digital service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Development

  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Salesforce-powered Digital Service Platform, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of the Data Center, Utility, and Industrial sectors.
  • Drive the transformation of installed base management by enabling asset tracking, performance analytics, proactive service recommendations, and predictive maintenance insights.
  • Work with Product Management, Service Operations, and IT to define the digital service journey, incorporating remote monitoring, AI-driven diagnostics, and self-service case management capabilities.
  • Drive monetization opportunities by integrating service contract visibility, renewal automation, and upsell/cross-sell recommendations into the platform.

Platform & Product Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of the platform, from design and deployment to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure deep integration with Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Asset Management, CPQ, ERP (SAP), IoT platforms, and field service tools.
  • Enable installed base and asset-centric views by leveraging Serial Number tracking, Equipment Hierarchies, Warranty & Service Contract Management, and Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM).
  • Champion a data-driven approach, leveraging customer behavior analytics, installed base data, and AI-driven insights to enhance engagement and decision-making.
  • Establish security, compliance, and governance for user authentication, role-based access, and data privacy in accordance with industry standards.

Customer Experience & Industry Alignment

  • Ensure the platform delivers a best-in-class digital service experience tailored to the needs of Data Center and Utility customers, including asset maintenance planning, outage prevention, and regulatory compliance support.
  • Work with UX/UI teams to create an intuitive, frictionless user experience that enables customers to self-manage service requests, access technical documentation, and interact with virtual assistants or AI-powered chatbots.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Field Service teams to integrate customer feedback into the platform roadmap, ensuring continuous enhancements.
  • Develop and execute a change management and communication plan to drive awareness, adoption, and engagement with customers and internal teams.

Technical Governance & Performance Optimization

  • Partner with Salesforce Architects, Developers, and IT teams to build scalable, high-performing solutions.
  • Ensure seamless data synchronization between Salesforce and external systems, including IoT platforms for real-time asset health monitoring.
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and uptime, addressing technical issues proactively to maintain a seamless user experience.
  • Stay ahead of Salesforce releases, AI-driven service innovations, and digital customer experience trends, evaluating new features for business impact.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce platform ownership, digital service transformation, or product management in industrial or utility markets.
  • Expertise in Salesforce Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Asset Management, and Field Service.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in Service, IT, and Product Management to deliver scalable digital solutions.
  • Familiarity with APIs, authentication models (SSO, OAuth), data integration strategies, and automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate industry trends and customer needs into platform enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of installed base management, predictive maintenance, IoT-enabled service models, and customer self-service platforms.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Experience Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Asset Management, or Architect) are a plus.

  • The pay range for this position is $89,670 - $153,720. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
