In the position of Requirements Engineer, you will use your expertise and extensive experience in innovative software products. Within the team, you will lay the foundation for the implementation of state-of-the-art solutions in the field of railway software.
Your responsibilities span the entire lifecycle of requirements, from collection, analysis, implementation to validation and the requirements management.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Defining functional and non-functional software requirements together with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducting and moderating analysis workshops internally and with customers.
- Create detailed documentation of the requirements, including specifications, use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize requirements based on their importance and impact on the product roadmap
- Ensuring the completeness and understandability of requirements.
- Monitoring changes in requirements and their impact on ongoing projects.
- Providing technical leadership within the team to further develop the quality of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Guiding junior requirements engineers.
- Identifying optimization potential and continuously improving requirements engineering processes.
- Tracking all requirements (implementation, changes, approval).
- Being responsible for the clarity of all requirements and the underlying change management process.
Your Profile:
- Completed studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in requirement engineering.
- Knowledge in creating requirement documentation and specifications.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Polarion, JIRA, or similar.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently as part of our team, demonstrating self-initiative and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Open and prepared to travel to different countries for work-related purposes. Experience in business-critical systems and standards relevant to railway software and technical knowledge in this field is a plus
