At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market: We create sustainable and intelligent solutions for a better climate – for people, their applications and our environment. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. To further drive our successful growth, we will expand our locations in a targeted manner over the next few years. The topics of digitalization and simulations support us in planning for the future and in implementation.

Based in Oradea, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer

This will be your impact:

  • You are responsible for the selection, qualification, assessment and development of suppliers as well as for the implementation of the supplier strategy.
  • You will be involved in the creation of the business unit's SQM strategy and implement operational measures to ensure and continuously improve supplier quality through consistent supplier qualification and development as well as in the event of escalations (production and field failures).
  • In common with the material group, you oversee the assessment, qualification and approval of suppliers and related materials, considering possible business risks, consulting your manager
  • You are involved in planning and conducting supplier audits, including monitoring audit measures and preventive quality methods to minimize risks with the supplier.
  • Your tasks include data analysis in SAP-QM as well as in customized IT applications RQPC, SQPC) to optimize inspection processes; you independently coordinate and implement necessary measures within the plant network.
  • You will check and evaluate supplier documents as well as purchased parts according to specifications, if necessary, including the results of internal and external service providers and review them with specialist departments and suppliers; you will document the results and initiate or consistently follow up on the necessary measures.
  • In case of faulty purchased parts, you will initiate complaints processing with the internal interfaces, take over communication with the supplier and support in charging additional costs.
  • You will negotiate quality agreements and will be responsible for their implementation in the supplier processes.
  • Your tasks will also include the coordination and management of projects for the further development of the QM system, the reduction of non-conformity costs and the increase of productivity with the internal interfaces in the scope of Your responsibilities.

This is how you'll win us over:

  • The basis for your success is a successfully complete degree in engineering or a master's degree in technical discipline, for example mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable one
  • During your many years of professional experience, preferably in the automotive industry, you have acquired in-depth knowledge of project and quality management and basic knowledge of the SCM process
  • You have knowledge and experience in driving technology, preferably motors, and in the manufacture of their components
