Are you a true trouble shooter looking for a more flexible role abroad? How exciting would it be to represent Siemens on projects aimed at realizing multidisciplinary, hyper-scale data center projects around the world? In this position, you will ensure that our equipment is delivered to the customer's satisfaction. Be prepared for extensive travel, as you will visit our sites globally. The working language is English.

At Siemens, you will be at the forefront of the energy transition and the ongoing advancements in digitalization and automation within the energy sector. You will have the support of a strong organization that is making significant strides in this transition and is poised to make a real impact. Our project scope includes engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of power distribution systems, such as medium and low voltage switches, transformers, busway systems, protection relays, automation and monitoring systems, as well as modular structures like E-Houses and Skids.

Your Assignment
As Siemens' on-site technical representative, you will attend various project meetings and manage the commissioning process based on agreed performance indicators. Your responsibilities include ensuring safety, adherence to schedules, maintaining quality, and managing the budget. You will oversee, coordinate, and lead the commissioning team while verifying commissioning results against technical requirements. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks on-site, including work planning, updating drawings to reflect changes, and addressing open issues in commissioning systems. You will assess risks and opportunities on-site related to economic, organizational, or contractual aspects and monitor compliance with standards, regulations, laws, as well as quality and EHS guidelines. For smaller projects, you will directly oversee testing and commissioning. For larger projects, you will manage a team responsible for implementation.

The Team
The Site Support team is dedicated to project execution on-site and comprises Commissioning Engineers and Site Supervisors.

What You Bring:
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering focused on power engineering, or an MBO+ degree with significant experience.
  • A proven track record in commissioning, particularly in data center projects or the energy/utility sector, is a significant advantage.
  • A commitment to safety, combined with a confident, positive attitude and a "can-do" mentality.
  • In-depth knowledge of testing and commissioning power distribution systems, including medium and low voltage switchgear and transformers.
  • Experience in testing and commissioning secondary systems, such as current transformers (CTs), voltage transformers (VTs), protection relays, automation and control systems, and bus communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in relevant testing and commissioning methods, equipment, and reporting, including primary and secondary injection, ductor testing, insulation resistance testing, high-potential testing (HiPot), fault finding, and functional testing.
  • A willingness to work abroad for extended periods and a valid driver's license.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the requirements, but possess strong motivation.
