Responsibilities:-
• Candidate will be responsible for all phases of wire harness design using the latest version of Mentor Graphics Capital tools (2408).
• Proficient with schematic capture using CHS Logic.
• Strong user of Harness and Formboard tools for design documentation and interfacing with Teamcenter PLM.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience (Must have):-
• B.Eng or M.Eng degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Note: (Diploma / Post Diploma candidates can be considered with matching job experience)
• Good understanding of basic multi-disciplinary engineering fundamentals and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Medical device experience or experience in a regulated environment is a plus.
• Experience in working with global team
• At least 5 years working in a CAD environment.
• At least 2 years with harness design experience, Capital preferred.
• Experience with PLM workflows and strong knowledge of design tools such as Teamcenter, NX.
• Proficient with NX Routing module.
• Working knowledge of IPC-WHMA-A-620.
Recommended Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience (Good to have):-
• CHS Design experience is preferred. Working knowledge of other harness design tools can be considered for strong design candidate.
• Some experience with Topology schematic capture.
• Understand Harness component library structure
• Proficient user in Teamcenter Unified Architecture.
• Fast learner able to apply new design concepts during challenging designs.
• Experience with harness assembly components and construction processes, including knowledge of manufacturing techniques and best practices.
• Ability to interpret and apply manufacturing constraints, and quality requirements in harness design.
• Knowledge of design rules and constraints such as bend radius, spacing of clips or clamps, and securing harnesses to avoid issues like rattling or safety hazards
