Siemens Government Technologies, Inc. (SGT) Digital Solutions (DS): The SGT DS business unit has an Industrial Networking/Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer position open in support growth and expansion of our Siemens Ruggedcom©, Scalance® and other networking/cybersecurity products for our U.S. DoD/Federal customers and partners applying our products in their Operational Techology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) applications.

Responsibilities:
•Works with Navy and other DoD customers to deploy Siemens Ruggedcom and Scalance switches onboard Navy ships and other Mil-spec environments.
•Architect Siemens switches to support Siemens automation systems in PRP networks.
•Acts as the subject matter expert on OT/IT networking infrastructure products and technologies in the Siemens Ruggedcom and Scalance product families.
•Provides Pre-sales support for the Ruggedcom and Scalance products.
•Possesses a combination of technical implementation and project management skills.
•Brings process, product, and solution category knowledge, re: industrial automation and IT/networking industry trends.
•Thorough understanding of OT best practices, performance, price and functionality benchmarks.
•Provides appropriate technical product advice for the development and implementation of customer solutions.
•Prepares and presents detailed technical proposals, including product/solution demonstrations and prototypes.
•Performs complex hardware and/or software design consultations in accordance with customer/project needs.
•Resolves very complex technical problems to meet customers' needs.
•Performs on-site activities that include configuration of switches and routers, firewalls, IDS, NMS, network integration with third party components, testing and troubleshooting networks, performing system tests with reports as required, and optimizing existing networks.
•Generates technical collateral such as application notes and examples for reuse by others.
•Develops/adapts and when needed delivers Ruggedcom and Scalance related training courses to customers and partners.
•Implements a yearly learning and development plan focusing on Siemens Ruggedcom and Scalance product knowledge and applicable OT/IT/Cyber technical and engineering skills.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science or technical degree or (12+ years of experience).
•8+ years of experience with OT network infrastructures for industrial automation, utilities, transportation systems or similar.
•8+ years of experience with Ruggedcom/Scalance category of networking productsNetwork design compatible with U.S. DoD/Federal IT and OT (Industrial Automation) platforms (Topologies, Rings, Routing, VLAN, VRRP).
•In-depth knowledge and troubleshooting of Layer 2 redundancy protocols such PRP, HSR, and RSTP topologies.
•Networking analysis knowledge and proficiencies in Wireshark, SNMP, NMap, Wireless Site Surveys, Modeling, and Simulation Tools.
•Strong understanding of IE62443, NIST, FIPS, and other industry OT/ICS Security Standards.
•Strong understanding of IT/OT and Digitalization technologies and trends.
•Protocol knowledge and implementation experience in OT networked systems, e.g., Industrial & Factory Automation, MES, OT and IoT, SCADA, and OT/ICS/IoT Cybersecurity.
•Protocol knowledge and implementation experience with Profinet, Profibus, and Profisafe.
•Understanding of 4G and 5G products and implementation experience.
•Understanding of PLC and HMI products and networked implementations.

Travel:
•Annual travel up to 50% and can be occasionally higher due to customer/project needs.
Preferred:
•Masters in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field of study
•Hands-on experience implementing Siemens Ruggedcom/Scalance products.
•Prior Siemens Industrial automation experience.
•ICS Cyber certifications such as ISA62443, GICSP, CISSP.
•SANS training and Certifications such as CCNP.
•Siemens product certifications.
•Experience in VMware and virtualization.
•Knowledge of and experience with U.S. Navy Shipboard Machinery Control Systems (MCS) Network and Navy Cybersecurity standards.
•Experience with US Department of Defense Internetworking Networks (DoDIN) security implementation standards, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guide (SRG).
Security Clearance:
•Candidate must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security clearance prior to hire and must be able to maintain once obtained.

•The salary range for this position is $146,600.00 to $198,000.00. A sales plan also is part of the compensation package for this position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
