The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Technician. This position is based in Roebuck, SC. As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician, you’ll work alongside Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers, completing non-direct labor work such as testing fixtures, building workstations, completing pilot builds, and contributing to the development of standard work.

Shift Hours: 8am-5pm

Hourly Rate: $28.10

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Basic digital literacy (Microsoft Office), and use of basic mechanical and electrical tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to use measurement devices: caliper, tape measurement, micrometer, etc.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
  • 1+ years supporting manufacturing in a tech role.
  • Experience applying Six Sigma and/or Lean 6S concepts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD or similar software applications.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP/DMM/Optimation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory while collaborating with multi-functional teams to achieve plant goals.
  • Developing standards and work instructions while actively participating in and supporting manufacturing activities and training throughout the facility.
  • Conducting problem investigations, cause analysis, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Developing and maintaining systems associated with production processes.
  • Contributing to the development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, and standards, and the deployment of these systems at large.
  • Performing detailed time studies to analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate and work with cross functional teams such as Engineering and Finance to achieve plant goals (quality, manufacturing, materials, design, engineering, and finance).
