The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Technician. This position is based in Roebuck, SC. As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician, you’ll work alongside Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers, completing non-direct labor work such as testing fixtures, building workstations, completing pilot builds, and contributing to the development of standard work.
Shift Hours: 8am-5pm
Hourly Rate: $28.10
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Basic digital literacy (Microsoft Office), and use of basic mechanical and electrical tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Ability to use measurement devices: caliper, tape measurement, micrometer, etc.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without needing current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
- 1+ years supporting manufacturing in a tech role.
- Experience applying Six Sigma and/or Lean 6S concepts in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD or similar software applications.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly processes.
- Familiarity with SAP/DMM/Optimation.

Responsibilities
- Supporting projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory while collaborating with multi-functional teams to achieve plant goals.
- Developing standards and work instructions while actively participating in and supporting manufacturing activities and training throughout the facility.
- Conducting problem investigations, cause analysis, implementation, and follow-up.
- Developing and maintaining systems associated with production processes.
- Contributing to the development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, and standards, and the deployment of these systems at large.
- Performing detailed time studies to analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate and work with cross functional teams such as Engineering and Finance to achieve plant goals (quality, manufacturing, materials, design, engineering, and finance).
