Due to an ever-growing order book, our sales support team in Melbourne is looking for a Technical Sales Support Professional to join the team/
As a Technical Sales Support Professional, you will have an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Power Engineering with specific experience in Electrical Products (Medium & Low Voltage Switchgears, Transformers, and other auxiliary equipment)
The successful candidate will develop, design, and complete customer proposals in technical aspects (Proposal Engineer), analyse the customers' technical setup to better judge on aspects of product and solution integration. You will complete technical analysis and provide support through the proposal process as part of the sales team.
You will have ownership as Bid Leader for the preparation and submission of winning customer quotations, bids and tenders in accordance with Siemens policy and guidelines. Manage and clearly document customer requirements and compliance throughout the bid phase to ensure scope clarity and alignment of customer expectations, and collaborate with Product Managers, order execution team, factory engineering and sales to optimize Siemens technical and commercial offer to provide winning value aligned to the customer requirements.
In addition, you will prepare design documentation including single line diagrams, general arrangements, product selection & technical descriptions, bill of materials, and preliminary configuration files, as well as preparing the cost calculations, including commercial risk assessments & quantification, whilst coordinating with commercial partners.
You may also be required to support the sales team with technical presentations and events as required. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is a pre-requisite to this role.
