The future of fire protection just got smarter. Following our acquisition of Danfoss Fire Safety A/S, Siemens is assembling a team of specialists to drive global innovation and you could be one of them.
We are looking for passionate, driven, and technically skilled professionals to join our growing team of experts as we push the boundaries of water mist technology which is one of the most sustainable, efficient, and innovative fire protection systems available today.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a center of excellence team specializing in the design and engineering of high-pressure water mist systems. You will be a key part of a global team supporting business development and sales by offering technical expertise to consultants, fire engineers, and strategic partners worldwide.
Whether working independently or as part of a team, you'll be responsible for designing, dimensioning, quoting, and preparing technical specifications for land-based applications using cutting-edge water mist systems.
Water mist technology is at the forefront of sustainable fire protection using up to 85% less water than conventional sprinkler systems. Our acquisition of Danfoss Fire Safety A/S reflects Siemens’ strong commitment to sustainability, safety, and creating technology with purpose. You will have the opportunity to impact this new exciting time ahead of us.
Key Responsibilities
As part of this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating detailed AutoCAD and Revit drawings, including nozzle placements and pipe layouts, compliant with recognized water mist standards (EN, FM, VdS, BS) across diverse land applications.
- Performing hydraulic calculations using Canute software.
- Generating Bill of Materials (BOM) from design drawings and producing accurate quotations via our CRM platform.
- Collaborating with consultants and architects to support system design in early project stages.
- Providing technical and design support to Siemens business partners and the global land sales team.
- Staying up to date with global water mist standards and applying them in all relevant designs and solutions.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with fire protection systems — ideally with sprinklers or water mist.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English will be your day-to-day language.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work on time.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- A global mindset and the flexibility to thrive in an international environment.
- Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan and execute tasks.
