Electrification & Automation
The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst. This position is located in Wendell, NC and can be executed in a hybrid model working from home 2-3 days a week.
As the Financial Analyst for the US E&A Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Motor Control Center (MCC) businesses you will be responsible for two P&Ls ($200M+ in total) and all finance related activities, such as forecast, risk management and integrity of books & records.
In this position you will report to the Controller EA Systems Business.
You will be responsible for financial planning & analysis (budget, forecast, cost analysis, deviation analysis, pricing, reporting, supporting commercial topics on orders) while serving as a financial business partner to cross-functional stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely completion of all accounting, financial statements and reporting, and other finance-related operations in line with quality standards and within internal requirements.
- Forecast and budget responsibility.
- Report on financial performance and progress on key initiatives to local management on a regular basis.
- Serve as key contributor in the Business Performance management process by providing financial transparency on business activities, insightful analyses and targets, predictions as well as models on future business development.
- Collaborate with your counterparts in project management, contract administration, product lifecycle management, application engineering, factory finance teams, etc. in all questions related to financial performance, financial risk management, and compliant business operations while executing the EA business strategy.
- Drive business results by proactively identifying opportunities for business process and finance improvements and ensuring timely execution.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and high reliability in all delivery KPIs.
- Support all business functions with infrastructure & tools providing transparency via dashboards (preferably Power BI) on relevant financials to support decision making and FC adherence.
- Drive digitalization and automation of internal processes.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, educational equivalent or relevant experience
- 3-5 years business experience
- Proven ability to work collaborate successfully in a multi-national environment and a matrix organization.
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Salesforce, Knime/Power Automate, Tableau, Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
- First experience in full or partial P&L management in a system business or factory environment
- Lead and proactively drive change and deliver compelling message to secure commitment and buy-in
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Navigating global, highly matrixed organizations including processes and shaping the culture
- Advanced data analytics and data visualization skills
- Eagerness to learn and explore in a fast-changing business environment
- Spanish language skills are a plus

The pay range for this position is $89,670 - $153,720 plus an annual incentive target of 10%. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
