You’ll make a difference by:

  • Design groundbreaking energy efficiency solutions – outcomes of collaboration with client partners to capture data and drive insight into existing systems and future requirements
  • Lead sophisticated decarbonisation projects – identifying investable opportunities for demand optimisation and the integration of renewable / low carbon generation solutions
  • Transform buildings into smart, sustainable spaces – integrating data-led analysis and digital platforms to create harmonised solutions and services
  • Craft the future of smart infrastructure – creating innovative solutions for clients with the development of forward-thinking cases
  • Efficiently engaging with all levels of a client’s organisation – from operations to C-Suite, you can bring value with solutions targeted at problems, and explain the solution and benefits to key decision makers

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct investment-grade energy audits, creating tailored outcomes for our clients based on its specific need
  • Develop comprehensive technical solutions for supply (on-site generation) and demand side (energy efficiency) optimization projects, supporting other departments in bringing these to reality
  • Design and deploy multi-technology energy systems
  • Build detailed financial models based on client investment requirements
  • Lead client engagement and solution design as the key technical counterpart and client lead
  • Implement monitoring and verification plans – identifying future potential to support our clients reduce energy and carbon consumption
  • Create technical documentation to support the sales through Project Development Reports and procurement processes through Specifications for subcontractors.

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

  • Extensive experience in developing multi-technology solutions in the areas such as space/process heating & cooling, lighting, metering, control/optimisation, renewable energy systems specifically Solar Photovoltaic, energy storage and Building Management systems.
  • High level of knowledge of HVAC systems, building control systems, lighting, building envelope, domestic water systems, renewable design, industrial gas system distribution and control.
  • 1st hand experience with heat pump applications and the deployment throughout commercial & industrial applications – heating, cooling and recovery
  • Proven record of engagement in Energy Performance Contracts with design and build project development responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in building modelling and simulation.
  • Understanding of industrial processes applied to demonstrate where and how system improvements can be delivered
  • Proven design experience within Project Management teams delivering to quality, time and budget.
  • Exposure to securing external funding for decarbonisation projects for clients, Salix, PSDS, GHNF or similar

Technical Knowledge

  • Building energy systems and renewable energy technologies – from standard methodology to challenges in deployment at scale
  • Experience with ASHRAE or similar energy calculations standards and IPMVP performance assurance methodologies.
  • Energy Management and Digital Twin platforms for technology modelling and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency with Building modelling softwares.
  • Qualifications: Engineering degree (or equivalent experience), Certified Energy Manager or CMVP qualification (preferred)
