Construction Sales Engineer – Electrical Products
This position will be remote in the greater North Dakota market.
Role Description
- The Construction Sales Engineer is responsible for selling low- and medium-voltage power distribution and power control solutions within the North Dakota construction market.
- Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with electrical contractors and distributor partners, providing guidance around the application/use of electrical distribution equipment in construction projects, providing subject matter expertise of Siemens products and systems with electrical distributors and contractors.
- This high-visibility position is required to provide a strong market presence and support distribution channel partners to drive market share growth.
- Fully utilize Siemens CRM (SieSales) as the tool to develop and forecast contractor opportunities.
- Product sales responsibility but not limited to: Panelboards, Switchboards, Medium Voltage gear, Lighting Panels, Low Voltage Switchgear, Busway, Motor Control Centers, Molded Case Circuit Breakers, IEC/NEMA Control, Safety Switches, and Residential Products.
- Building and maintaining a business plan by cultivating a healthy sales pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing existing customer base.
- Develop and implement plans for strategic accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty.
- Building long term relationships with senior management at key distribution and contractor accounts.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of successful sales experience OR 10+ years of successful sales experience
- Current valid Driver's license & 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 3+ year working in the construction industry with sales, estimating, design or project management.
- 3+ year of sales proficiency LV/MV power distribution product line OR 7+ year of sales proficiency LV/MV power distribution product
- 3+ year of experience with electrical estimating/electrical plan interpretation OR 7+ year of experience with electrical estimating/electrical plan interpretation

The pay range for this position is $96,040 - $164,640 and is eligible for 15% Annual Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is 96040 - 164640 annually plus an uncapped commission structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
