We are looking for a highly motivated and technically curious working student to support strategic and research-driven activities in process automation, digitalization, and sustainability within the food industry. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with an expert operating at the intersection of industrial innovation, applied research, and academic collaboration. You will contribute to high-impact projects with global customers and partner universities.
You'll Make a Difference By:
  • Conducting literature reviews on emerging technologies in Oils & Fats processing, control engineering (industrial AI, APC, digital twins, and energy optimization)
  • Assisting in market research and competitive analysis across process technology and automation solutions in oilseeds, sugar, animal feed, and grains
  • Helping prepare slide decks, technical whitepapers, and customer-facing presentations for key accounts and internal workshops
  • Creating and refining conceptual process descriptions and technical drawings (flowsheets, architecture diagrams, control strategy schematics)
  • Supporting article writing and preparation of conference materials, including presentations and technical articles
  • Structuring knowledge bases, documenting reusable solution packages, and supporting the creation of vertical templates
  • Participating in ideation sessions and contributing fresh perspectives

Your Success is Grounded In:
  • Enrollment as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Process Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience or strong interest in the food or biotech industries, especially in Oils & Fats, Sugar, Cereals, and Plant-Based Proteins
  • Ability to synthesize complex materials (academic papers, statistical yearbooks, technical documentation) into clear visual or textual formats
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and willingness to learn new platforms (SIMATIC PCS neo, gPROMS, Industrial Edge)
  • Familiarity with digitalization topics such as numerical process simulations, advanced process control, machine learning, and Industry 4.0 is a strong plus
