Position Title: Product Management Professional

Salary: $145,600 to $164,800 / Year

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: The Product Management Professional will be responsible for product management for Siemens Gridscale X Meter Data Management software portfolio. Define the vision for next generation of meter data management systems and help shape the overall product and partnering strategy. Synthesize market research and customer needs to set a strategic direction and priority for product(s) and identify innovative ideas to incorporate in product(s) roadmap. Collaborate with Sales to understand application sales pipeline, probability, timing, business impact and customer requirements as input into the product roadmap. Work with business leaders, customers and project teams to understand business questions and translate them into solution, product roadmap and project extensions. Build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. Communicate finding and insights to key stakeholders and influence these teams to take action based on your recommendations. Own the release planning and management process for the application. Prioritize customer enhancements based on input from customer population, business and commercial impact. Manage and maintain a rolling three to five year view of the product roadmap. Coordinate and collaborate with other members of the product management team on release planning and management of interdependencies between underlying platform, MDMS and related applications. Collaborate with application development other product management teams to solve deep technical problems and create exceptional solutions. Author product specifications, inclusive of use cases, activity flow diagrams, screen mockups, identification of data sources, analytics, reporting, and integration requirements. Act as the Product Owner in one or more scrum teams, setting the vision for the team, writing and prioritizing user stories, grooming the backlog, keeping the team focused, and communicating to stakeholders regularly. Own end-to-end development and delivery of your product(s), including defining and tracking value to customers – Work together with Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, and Support to promote the delivery of product features through training initiatives, documentation efforts, and customer / analyst demonstrations. Be the product champion externally and passionate voice of the customer internally. Remote work permitted. Approximately 10% domestic/international travel required.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, QA Engineer, Sales Engineer, or related role. Alternatively, the position requires a Master’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field of study and 4 years of related experience. The position also requires experience with the following: leading decision making and managing stakeholders to resolve competing priorities between customer needs, business needs, and resource constraints; experience writing logical, detailed, and complete product requirements and functional specifications; developing and effectively communicating a product vision, strategy and roadmap; translate business strategy into tactical plans and willingness to own execution to completion.
