Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain data architectures on Azure and AWS, using PaaS and cloud-native services aligned with Siemens Healthineers governance standards
  • Ensuring that cloud data platforms comply with organizational governance, security, and compliance frameworks
  • Define and enforce data governance, metadata management, and lineage practices across multi-tenant cloud environments
  • Collaborate with demand teams, business users, and governance stakeholders to align data quality, integration, and security requirements with enterprise standards
  • Propose and implement data platform solutions leveraging native Azure/AWS services, automation, and serverless technologies
  • Ensure that Siemens Healthineers security, compliance, and data protection requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, etc.) are fully integrated into data architectures
  • Develop and maintain documentation, blueprints, and governance models for Azure/AWS data systems, ensuring transparency and audit readiness
  • Work with platform, security, and governance teams to ensure consistent policies, cost transparency, and compliance controls are applied to data workloads
  • Evangelize data governance best practices, drive adoption across projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Hybrid Cloud Governance framework
  • Stay up to date on cloud data governance and architecture trends to propose innovations and efficiencies within Siemens Healthineers

Your qualifications and experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related Cloud Data roles, with at least 5 years in Azure and AWS
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time pipelines in governed enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of data security, encryption, access management, compliance frameworks, and regulatory standards
  • Hands-on expertise in SQL, NoSQL, big data platforms, data streaming, ETL/ELT frameworks, and APIs
  • Proficiency with Azure/AWS data services (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Cosmos DB, Glue, Redshift, S3, DynamoDB)
  • Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns (Data Mesh, Lakehouse, Event-driven, Serverless)
  • Familiarity with software development, CI/CD for data products, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Azure/AWS Data/Analytics or Solution Architect certifications are a plus
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly on data risks, governance, and business value to technical and non-technical stakeholders
