Position Overview:
You will take on a critical role in ensuring the stability, compliance, and performance of the SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) solution following the go-live of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation. You will be the key contact for managing trade compliance processes, supporting end-users, and resolving technical-functional issues in production.
You’ll make a difference by:

- Monitor the integration of SAP GTS, ensuring timely and accurate tax determination and reporting.
- Analyze and troubleshoot transaction blocks (e.g., embargo, legal control, SPL) and assist in resolution in collaboration with trade compliance teams.
- Maintain configuration settings, update master data (e.g., legal regulations, control classes), and ensure alignment with evolving trade laws and internal policies.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose sustainable solutions through corrective actions or minor enhancements.
- Support regression testing, transport management, and cutover activities for GTS-related changes.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis, Security, and Integration teams to manage system performance, authorizations, and interface stability.
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation, support guides, and user training materials to ensure consistency in issue handling and system usage
- Coordinate with external service providers, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities as needed for technical support and compliance resolution.
Your success is grounded in:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or have acquired a comparable qualification.
- You bring 4-5 years of SAP experience supporting SAP GTS, including exposure to S/4HANA integrated environments.
- Strong functional knowledge of GTS modules and familiarity with global trade regulations and compliance frameworks, including export control laws, import regulations, and customs clearance processes.
- Working experience with SAP GTS integration to S/4HANA modules such as SD, MM, and FI.
- Good understanding of ABAP debugging, user exits, and enhancement points to support technical issue resolution.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues involving GTS-specific documents (e.g., customs declarations, license checks, blocked documents).
- Experience working with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager) and following ITIL processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end users, business teams, and external vendors.
- SAP GTS certification or relevant training is a plus.
- Business fluent English skills are required, both written and spoken.
