Position Overview:

The roles and responsibilities of developers entail the design, development, implementation of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) as part of our enterprise-wide S/4HANA implementation.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining S/4HANA systems to meet specific business needs for global trade compliance, customs management, master data, risk management, preferences, and Intrastatistics in collaboration with functional and technical teams.
  • Design, develop, and deploy robust custom enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and integration points using ABAP and GTS-specific frameworks.
  • Work closely with Siemens IT, CF T experts, SAP Basis and Security teams to ensure optimal system performance, system integration, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Integrate SAP GTS with other systems such as SAP ERP, S/4HANA core modules (e.g. SD, MM, FI), and other external systems.
  • Ensure user documentation, test plans, and technical solution design documents are up-to-date and align with the internal project standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to support teams during UAT, release, and hyper care phases.
  • You systematically identify and propose solutions for process improvements, technical issue resolution, as well as standardization, harmonization and automation in customs-related business processes to ensure compliance across customs processes.

Your success is grounded in:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or have acquired a comparable qualification.
  • You bring 4-5 years of hands-on SAP GTS development experience, including in-depth ABAP programming and enhancement techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience in S/4HANA implementations or migrations with SAP GTS integration.
  • Deep understanding of SAP GTS modules: global trade compliance, customs management, master data, risk management, preferences, and Intrastatistics.
  • Proficiency in ABAP, OO ABAP, BAPIs, IDocs, ALE, RFCs, BADIs, and User Exits.
  • Experience with SAP GTS integration to SAP SD, MM, and FI modules.
  • Understanding of international trade processes, compliance regulations (e.g., embargo checks, sanctioned party lists), and export/import controls.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, or SAP CPI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with business stakeholders, project managers, and multi-functional teams.
  • SAP GTS certification is a plus.
  • Business fluent English skills are required, both written and spoken
