Siemens Corp. is looking for a driven IT Data Insights and Project Management Intern to assist with its regional IT Data Insights and Project Management tasks. This internship offers a chance to thrive in a vibrant, global setting where IT, data, and business strategy converge.
This role involves contributing to Siemens’ Digital Backbone initiative, enhancing IT infrastructure for application hosting, management, and support. Gain experience in project delivery, data analysis, and executive reporting, while building collaboration skills with global teams.
Responsibilities
As an intern, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Offer fresh perspectives and pinpoint trends to improve project management and reporting, prioritizing collaboration, time management, and influence.
- Drive involvement and ensure progress on key deliverables.
- Research and share new IT and data-related trends.
- Analyze project and operational data, presenting results in a meaningful way using appropriate tools.
- Assist in preparing executive-style reports and presentations for leadership.
- Facilitate the adoption of project management and reporting tools for improved transparency and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance (GPA 3.0+ preferred).
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for future visa sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to dedicate 40 hours weekly from May through August.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Education
- Ability to bridge between technical and business perspectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of IT technologies and emerging trends, capable of analyzing project data to facilitate decision-making.
- Capability to efficiently collaborate and showcase leadership potential with multinational and diverse teams.
- Independent worker with excellent time management skills and capable of multitasking effectively.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Knime, Python, R).
- Experience with reporting/visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with database systems and SQL would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management tools (such as Jira, MS Project, Trello) is advantageous.

You’ll Benefit From
The hourly pay range for this position is $24 - $31 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
