About the Role

The Business Analyst provides day-to-day operational and project support for the Advancement & Alumni Engagement department's information systems with a primary focus on the Blackbaud Enterprise CRM platform. The role supports analyzing business needs, configuring systems, documenting business processes, and developing specifications for system enhancements and reports. The Business Analyst I conducts requirements gathering, application testing, user acceptance testing and identifies and resolves system issues, monitors data integrity, and participates in the preparation of training materials and delivery of end-user training. The role develops and maintains business knowledge of AAE operations and fundraising workflows to ensure positive downstream impacts on the department.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or Business Administration, with four years of related business analysis experience enterprise information systems in a large, complex, environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of fundraising constituent record management (CRM) systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of enterprise information systems and CRM platforms (e.g., Blackbaud Enterprise CRM)
  • Excellent knowledge of business process design and analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of software design, database applications for standard business processes, and data analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL query language and report writing tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Working knowledge of fundraising operations and donor and alumni engagement workflows to inform system support and configuration decisions.
