Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):

The Research Assistant (RA) will support data collection, translation, and analysis for an ongoing research project examining antifeminist mobilizations in Jordan and Palestine. The RA will assist in identifying, organizing, and synthesizing Arabic-language materials relevant to the study’s focus and main questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the collection of Arabic-language materials from media outlets, social media platforms, and other publicly available sources.
  • Translate and summarize Arabic texts into English with accuracy and contextual sensitivity.
  • Assist in managing, coding, and organizing data for analysis.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate research records and ensuring data integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong background in social science research methods.
  • Fluency in Arabic (reading and writing) and strong English writing skills.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for document management and data organization.
  • Demonstrated academic or personal interest in gender, nationalism, politics, and the Middle East.
