Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The computer science course may hire multiple Course Assistants for a variety of jobs depending on the skills of the student worker. Positions may include, grading, lab assistants, holding office hours, and assisting with teaching. Once everyone is hired, the group, including the professor, will meet to assign job duties.

Duties and Responsibilities May Include:
∙ Meet with professor to create plan for collecting and distributing homework ∙ Grade assignments as requested by the professor
∙ Assist students during help sessions with course material and assignments ∙ Assist students during class meetings with course materials including in-class assignments and worksheets
∙ Supporting student team projects
∙ Weekly meetings with professor
∙ Other support of student learning
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
∙ Successful completion of the course you are applying for
∙ Strength in the course content
∙ Ability to maintain confidentiality and act professionally
∙ Knowledge of the hardware and software used in the course
∙ Ability to attend one of the labs (may not be required for course you are applying for) ∙ Punctuality in providing complete and timely feedback to students and arriving on time for meetings
∙ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
