A successful cybersecurity analyst lead at Starbucks is collaborative, organized, and able to work well through change and ambiguity and validated record of a direct approach to complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal direction. This position reports to the manager of cybersecurity risk within the Global Cybersecurity Services (GCS) organization. GCS is chartered with leading, inspiring, and supporting Starbucks to cultivate trust in our brand by ensuring confidentiality, integrity, & availability in every partner, customer & supplier experience.

This job contributes to Starbucks' success by facilitating and managing an issue management/corrective action program and processes to aid in the mitigation of cyber risks. Success for the role will be the delivery of clear, consistent, and globally integrated cybersecurity operational risk services and will be measured by program adoption and risk reduction metrics. Multiple stakeholder groups rely on the effective delivery of repeatable and data-driven risk services and functions across the cybersecurity organization. This role is essential to drive down overall cyber security risks at Starbucks.

As a cybersecurity analyst lead, you will...

  • Manage an operational issue management / corrective action program
  • Work with all aspects of cyber risk management program and practices
  • Establish and manage outcome-based initiatives using standardized processes and industry best practices
  • Adjust your speed of delivery based on program maturity, adoption, and capacity
  • Develop key metrics and reporting on program performance to leadership
  • Collaborate with technical teams including Security Architecture/Engineering, International teams, and leadership on risk practices
  • Manage multiple initiatives and prioritize workload based on changing business needs and team priorities
  • Develop and drive requirements to support program enhancements and experience in release management
  • Create business value and deliver quality outcomes/deliverables that aligns to meeting business objectives
  • Deliver security/risk training and perform knowledge transfer to team members as required
  • Foster “can-do” attitude and lead by example

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Applies knowledge of business principles and technology practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional activities.
  • Direct the alignment of systems to fulfil business needs.
  • Spearhead the creation of essential documentation in support of systems.
  • Convey and engage effectively through excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
  • Oversee the understanding and improvement of business processes.
  • Ensure provision of superior customer service.
  • Champion the application of systems development concepts.
  • Demonstrate advanced working knowledge of all facets of systems development lifecycle and IT operations.
  • Effectively maneuver multiple priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Display expert configuration knowledge of applicable applications, modules, and platforms.
  • Deep expertise in configuration and integration points of relevant applications/modules/platforms.
  • Solid understanding and design experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Ability to couple technology expertise with deep understanding of business requirements to design and deploy highly reliable, scalable, and sustainable global technology solutions.
  • Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Possesses advanced expertise in data modeling and design patterns, leading the development and optimization of complex IT systems.
  • Demonstrated high level proficiency in system and application testing procedures.
  • Mastery over SQL and adept at working with APIs and various system integrations.
  • Ample management experience in system analysis, troubleshooting, and project management efficiently run projects and swiftly resolves issues.
  • Helps lead team toward s successfully attaining project objectives and timeline.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
