As the Manager, Technical Product Management – MarTech, you will lead the strategy, delivery, and support of marketing technology solutions, with a strong focus on personalization and content management platforms. You will guide a team of technical product managers and collaborate across engineering, design, and business teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions aligned with Starbucks’ strategic goals.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Technical Product Managers focused on MarTech platforms, including personalization, content management, and customer engagement technologies.
  • Define and evangelize the long-term product vision and roadmap for MarTech solutions, aligning with enterprise strategy and marketing objectives.

  • Partner closely with Marketing leadership and stakeholders to understand business goals, define requirements, and ensure MarTech solutions align with campaign strategies, personalization goals, content supply chain optimization, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Drive platform governance and lifecycle management across peer technology functions, ensuring alignment on dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality, customer-facing features using Agile methodologies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including Adobe and other MarTech providers, to influence product roadmaps and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Establish and evolve a 24/7 support model in partnership with global support teams, ensuring platform reliability and performance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity within the team.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development for team members, cultivating a high-performing, collaborative environment.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in technology product management or related roles.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering marketing technology solutions, including personalization and content platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience managing product delivery in Agile environments.
  • Proven experience using analytics and optimization tools to inform product decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (e.g., AEM, Target, Audience Manager, Campaign).
  • Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), digital asset management (DAM), and content orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with modern MarTech stacks and integration patterns.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience within a professional people leadership role directly managing others
  • Deep understanding of MarTech ecosystems and customer engagement strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Expertise in Agile product development, user-centric design, and iterative delivery.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in complex, fast-paced environments.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
