The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

Within the strategy and operations team in Tech, we believe that well-designed rituals, moments, and forums are critical levers for activating strategy at scale within Tech. When those moments are intentional, they align teams, reinforce what matters most, and accelerate execution.

As a Lead Tech Operations Program Manager, you will:

  • Own and execute the year-round Tech Events Strategy, ensuring every major forum directly advances tech priorities, strengthens leader readiness, and makes measurable progress visible across Tech through by showing examples of wins, bold experimentation and misses, and momentum.
  • Design and lead Tech-wide strategy forums and flagship rituals including All Team Huddles, Demo Days, showcases, and leadership sessions, turning them into high-impact activation moments that create shared clarity, reinforce priorities, and drive aligned action.
  • Design events as strategy activation moments and ensure leaders and teams leave with clarity on key priorities, changes and next steps.
  • Coach Tech portfolios to build executive-ready Demo Day showcases for Target Leadership Team, including storyline development, demo curation, and end-to-end experience design.
  • Shape clear, outcome-oriented narratives that help leaders and teams understand how technology work connects to enterprise priorities.
  • Support leaders in framing strategy, progress, and expectations effectively in high-visibility moments.
  • Translate complex technology initiatives into simple, relatable stories that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate Target Tech’s most impactful work through select internal and external forums tied to major moments and milestones.

About you

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale events, executive forums, strategy communications, or cross-functional program management within a complex, matrixed, technology-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently facilitate moments with senior leaders and executives in both large and small settings, ensuring clarity, focus, and forward momentum.
  • Demonstrates a strong learning mindset and external awareness by actively learning from industry leaders, peer organizations, and cross-functional partners, and translating those insights into stronger strategies and execution.
  • Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-scale events, forums, or programs with senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to design moments that drive alignment, clarity, and behavior change at scale.
  • Proven ability shaping narratives and framing messages in service of strategy
  • Strong judgement and presence when working with senior leaders and high-visibility moments.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and influence without authority across levels, teams, and disciplines.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect tech work to enterprise outcomes.
  • Experience working closely with technology teams and quickly building context on technical concepts.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
