As a leader with Roundel, you will be an integral part of defining the product future while leading the present by identifying, developing and managing critical core capabilities within the Roundel ad product portfolio.
Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.
As the Director, O&O Products – Roundel, you will be responsible for building and evolving our core Owned & Operated Digital Ad products and platforms integrated into the digital Target Guest experience on our websites, apps and in-store platforms, inclusive of sponsored products, display, rich media, email, and search experiences. You will establish a strategy that propels Roundel as a differentiated leader in the advertising industry. You will lead your team to develop a roadmap to achieve this strategy and guide their execution of the roadmap. This includes actively managing, coaching and developing a team through clear expectations, goal setting as well as performance management that focuses on both productizing and operationalizing capabilities. As a product leader you will partner with internal product & technology teams and external vendors. This role will act as a thought leader to anticipate and prepare for long term trends and industry shifts in the evolving landscape of Retail Media Networks and ad-enabled multimedia experiences in eCommerce.
As a Product Director, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will set and manage the product’s budget and financials, set the short- and long-term product goals, and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product managers while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across Product teams. You will be responsible to elevate your collective team’s performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers across pyramids to negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams.
You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiple pyramids, with interrelated specialties. You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products and related P&L impacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.
It will be critical that you possess an understanding of retail or similar areas, relevant technologies and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions across multiple pyramids within Target.

About you:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of product management experience preferably in relevant digital ads industry experience with a minimum of 5 years experience leading the creation and execution of tech product strategies
Demonstrated growth and success with tech-focused product / business leadership roles within the advertising industry
Proven experience leading and developing high-performing product management teams, including coaching PMs and driving strong product execution
Proven track record working with digital media and developing innovative and customer-relevant digital ad experience
Experience building relationships with senior executive leaders cross functionally, including influencing without authority and creating crisp solution proposals to inspire executives
Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
Proven ability to stand-up, transform and lead teams specifically in the media space
Experience integrating ads into an eCommerce experience in both existing experiences and inventing ad-supported new experiences
Passion for design-led approaches to developing digital experiences, and exposure to Design Thinking working models
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to tell compelling business and result stories
Expert at coaching and guiding in the agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs and driving business outcomes
Ability to lead and influence a team while fostering relationships across multiple enterprise-wide teams
Primary clients for this position are located across several markets, including Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis. Preference for candidates to be based in one of these locations as the role requires frequent travel to support local clients. There will be no relocation offered for this position
