Job Description:

The TD Insurance Digital technology team is looking for a successful candidate that will perform activities developing components of solutions with a focus on analytics, support, testing, and proof of concepts aligned to business and technology objectives.

Provide a broad range of system solutions development to business problems through the development and programming of applications / systems. May also provide research, installation, maintenance, configuration, administration and/or provisioning of systems/applications.

Technical Skills – Must-Have

• Strong enterprise Java development experience (4+ years), particularly in high-scale or regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, etc.)

• Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Web frameworks for RESTful service development

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, service orchestration, and integration patterns

• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and REST/SOAP-based systems integration

AI and Agentic Systems – Preferred/Niche Skillset

• Exposure to agentic AI frameworks or architectures (e.g., AutoGPT, LangChain, or similar orchestration/agent frameworks)

• Experience integrating AI/ML components into backend systems, including prompt engineering, embedding services, or LLM-driven workflows

• Familiarity with AI model APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, HuggingFace, etc.) and related service integration

• Understanding of AI lifecycle, including fine-tuning, inference, orchestration, and security/governance implications

Integration Experience

• Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs and internal services

• Understanding of authentication/authorization methods (OAuth2, SAML, JWT)

• Familiar with API gateway patterns and request/response transformations

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience working in agent-based workflows, asynchronous pipelines, or hybrid AI+rules-based decision systems

• Contributions to open-source AI tooling or public GitHub projects a plus

Additional Information

Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate

Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)

3-5 years relevant experience
