Job Description Summary: | The Center for Community Resilience (CCR) at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, part of the George Washington University, seeks to improve the health of communities by enabling cross-sectoral partners to align policy, program and practice to address adverse childhood experiences in the context of adverse community environments-the Pair of ACEs. Our innovative framing of ACEs, with the explicit focus on equity and prevention, has influenced local initiatives, programs, public health practice and local, state and federal policy. Over the past five years, our networks have successfully led systems and policy change focused on addressing long-standing economic, social and health disparities by partnering with community, integrating service delivery and building political will for change. The George Washington University Institute for Racial and Socioeconomic Equity (The Equity Institute) creates actionable new knowledge and educates citizen leaders dedicated to the eradication of racial, ethnic, and economic inequality in the United States and worldwide. The Equity Institute aims to provide a global model for top research universities to partner with communities to convene top experts, publish action-oriented scholarship, and educate leaders dedicated to building a more just society. The Center for Community Resilience and the Equity Institute are jointly seeking a Senior Research Associate to conduct mixed methods research and policy research. The Research Associate will apply research expertise, strong organizational skills, critical thinking, discipline, and creativity to develop plans and execute research to provide CCR and Equity Institute partners with high quality research findings that help them identify policy levers and practice change strategies to address the Pair of ACEs in their communities. Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a master’s degree in a related discipline and 3 years of direct experience in the field. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. |
