I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary: | The Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) serves as George Washington University’s official source for the gathering and reporting of university data (excluding financial and facilities information) and provides data for federal and state surveys (e.g. IPEDS, State Council of Higher Education for Virginia), accreditation agencies (e.g. Middle States), and publications (e.g. US News, the Common Data Set). The office provides official data on enrollment, retention, graduation rates, faculty and staff statistics, and much more. It helps the community assess institutional effectiveness, including assistance with university benchmarking and academic program review. IRP is part of the larger office of Academic Planning and Assessment (APA), which includes the Office of Survey Analytics and the Office of Institutional Analytics. APA is also responsible for publishing the University Bulletin. The office is located in the heart of GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus. Institutional Research Analyst Duties:

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
