Position Purpose:
The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for ad-hoc data request support, and developing and maintaining analytics tools to support Corporate Security, primarily working with the Investigations team. Projects and research will be enterprise-wide including a focus on fraud detection and data to support criminal prosecution, identification of new fraud trends, business partner support, including Online (to include the Online Contact Centers), Customer Care, Merchandising, Supply Chain, PRO, Services, Legal, Privacy, and Payments Fraud. The position may be asked to support other functions within the Corporate Security and Aviation team on an as needed basis. This may include support for International Traveler Safety, Workplace Violence, Executive Protection, Corporate Security Technology Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% – Communicates Effectively – Derive meaning from data analytics and present in concise format.
- 35% – Data Analytics – Support Corporate Security Investigations with ad-hoc data support and analysis required across functional areas such as Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain and IT and provide solutions to drive efficiency and improved results.
- 10% – Develops Talent – Assist with the development and delivery of data analytics training for the department, including entry-level analysts.
- 35% – Reporting – Develop and maintain data mining and reporting capabilities to support the department, including capturing and developing queries and reports that can be used across Corporate Security.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Experience with the following tools and technologies required: Tableau / Tableau Server, SQL, SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS), Access and Excel
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Tableau
- Working knowledge of analytical/statistics software (eg, SPSS, SAS, R, Stata)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
Work From Home – Location Specific – An associate in this role primarily works from home but is assigned a THD location and is periodically required to report to their in-office location. Associates must live within the same state and within a commutable distance of their assigned THD location.
