POSITION SPECIFICS
The Soil Microbiomes Laboratory of Estelle Couradeau is seeking a highly motivated scientist for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position. This role is part of a funded project titled "Predicting Resilience in Soil Microbiomes through Multi-Scale Analysis of Monsoon-Driven Adaptation."
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research in soil microbiome design mesocosms experiments and apply omics techniques.
Explore next-generation physiology techniques, including microbial activity probing.
Collaborate with a local artist to address the broader impacts of the project.
Qualifications:
Experience in environmental microbiology and/or omics techniques.
Strong interest in innovative physiology techniques.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field and be able to provide evidence that all requirements have been met for completion of the Ph.D. prior to the effective date of hire.
This position will be located at Penn State in University Park.
