This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
POSITION SPECIFICS
The research laboratory of Dr. Thomas Iadecola is looking to hire a postdoctoral scholar. The successful candidate will perform theoretical research at the interface of quantum many-body physics and quantum information science. Specific topics of interest include dynamics in closed and open quantum systems, digital and analog quantum simulation with quantum computers or atomic-physics platforms, and quantum algorithms for quantum many-body physics.
A PhD in Physics is required. The ideal candidate will have numerical simulation skills with exact diagonalization/quantum-circuit techniques and/or approximate tensor-network methods. Analytical skills with integrability, random-matrix theory, dual-unitary circuits, hydrodynamics, or field-theoretic methods are also beneficial.
