As the Manager, Retail Data Partnerships, you will work on a growing and highly impactful team focused on driving one of TTD’s most strategic initiatives - Retail data partnerships.
You will manage best-in-class partnerships with top U.S. Retailers and emerging Commerce partners (i.e. finance, airline and brand data parties) and be responsible for guiding these partners on building best-in-class solutions to drive revenue growth and agency & advertiser adoption of data use across The Trade Desk Kokai platform.

What we do:
- Our data partnerships team supports the creation and implementation of data to be used for self-service purposes by advertisers and agencies who leverage The Trade Desk DSP for advertising
- This acts as a sizeable contributor to the continued evolution and growth of retailers and commerce partner Retail & Commerce Media Networks that span both managed and self-service solutions
- We consult and provide thought leadership to partners at all seniority levels, both existing and new, across audience segmentation, measurement and innovation. Our goal is to provide revenue growth for retailers and optimal media performance & ROI for platform users
- We lead executive-level partner management & relationship building to influence and collaborate with our Data Partners to land the ideal solutions and methodology.
- We lead end-to-end processes and implementation from strategic vision to execution by identifying the appropriate solutions and approaches by partner.
- We lead and facilitate cross-functional collaboration across the internal executive team, product and act as a key resource and subject matter expert for our Internal Sales and CS teams as well our clients directly.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and manage operational aspects of partnerships including onboarding and ongoing maintenance, in partnership with team account leads. This includes regular interfacing with external and internal teams, i.e. Product, Technical Account Management and finance
- Partner with TTD go-to-market teams to evangelize, educate and grow the use of the partners’ offerings
- Support client facing teams with retail data campaign setup and execution through training, on-demand support and best practice development and implementation
- Support sales enablement efforts by partnering with product marketing to maintain all relevant documentation for retail partners
- Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with team managers and partners to report on progress / blocker status and future opportunities
- Strategically identify new opportunities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to educate and guide partners accordingly; collect feedback on existing / potential utilization from agency and advertiser teams
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience creating and building differentiated relationships with clients and/or partners
- Expertise in programmatic execution (preferably The Trade Desk) required
- Awareness and understanding of retail media industry and offerings (i.e. managed service, self-service, retail data, etc.). Execution of retail media offerings a plus.
- The ability to build excellent rapport with internal teams (at the TTD this would include teams like Client Services, Legal, Technical Account Management, Finance, Product, Client Development, Business Development)
- Excellent judgement & acute sense of self-awareness
- Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable navigating complex technical processes and a broad range of client needs and requirements
- Proven communication, questioning, and listening skills in formal and informal settings, including:
- The ability to communicate effectively with a partner’s commercial, product, and executive teams.
- Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.
