About the job
This position is needed to co-create with Generative AI tools, partner closely with business stakeholders, and turn data into decision-driving narratives. You’ll work at the intersection of strategic insight generation, technical analytics, and AI-augmented discovery — helping us not just answer questions, but ask better ones. If you thrive at the intersection of numbers and business strategy and love translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives with actions—this role is for you.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Partner with marketing, product, strategy, and leadership teams to frame and explore critical business questions
- Translate ambiguous problems into structured analytical approaches and insight stories
- Use Generative AI tools to co-create hypotheses, simulate scenarios, and build proactive insight feeds
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies
- Design scalable insights processes, not just one-off analyses
- Visualize data and findings in dashboards, slide decks, and AI-powered narrative tools (e.g., Tableau Pulse, Power BI Copilot)
- Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences with precision and empathy
- Leverage LLMs, copilots, and GenAI assistants to accelerate insight generation and automate repeatable analysis
- Curate reusable prompts, validate model outputs, and ensure insight reliability and transparency
- Oversees GenAI prompt libraries and insight quality
- Experiment with natural language querying, auto-charting, and conversational BI tools
- Write efficient SQL for complex joins, aggregations, and data transformations
- Collaborate with data engineering on clean, trusted, well-modeled data sources
- Build and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and automated reports in BI platforms
- Contribute to scalable insight pipelines using tools like dbt, Python, or R (as applicable)
Qualifications
Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
*Required:

- Comfort using GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for analytical workflows
- Experience querying structured and unstructured data using tools like Presto, or Snowflake
- Experience with dbt, Python, or R for deeper analysis
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven analytics, natural language querying, or LLM-based insight generation
- Comfort with version control (Git/GitHub) for collaboration with engineers and analysts
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills
- Proven ability to translate technical outputs into business strategy in collaboration with product managers, marketers, and data scientists.
- Experience contributing to or reviewing experimentation and A/B test designs.
- Ability to influence roadmaps or strategy through data-backed recommendations.
- Exposure to data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks
Desired:
