Our team of engineers, quantitative researchers and data scientists looks beyond the traditional to test hypotheses and develop creative solutions to some of the world’s most complex economic problems.
We are looking for an HR Insights Analyst to join our Reporting & Analytics team. At a firm built on the careful application of data, we bring that same standard to questions about our people: how we attract and retain talent, how we understand engagement and performance, and how we make sense of the dynamics of our organization. In this role, you will play a key part in using our people data to develop the insights and narratives that HR and business leaders rely on to make decisions.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with the team lead and other HR leaders. You will move between focused analyses, recurring reporting, employee surveys, and data quality work, telling the story behind the numbers in ways that resonate with senior audiences. We seek a candidate who enjoys serious analytical work and feels comfortable working directly with senior partners, who can transform loosely defined questions into clear, structured answers, and who is motivated by the challenge of translating people data into valuable business insights. If you are enthusiastic about joining a collaborative, intellectually curious team where thoughtful analysis helps drive better business decisions, we would love to meet you!
You will take on the following responsibilities:
- Conduct and support analyses on a broad range of people data topics, such as attrition, recruiting pipeline effectiveness, performance, promotions, and organizational design
- Translate complex findings into clear narratives and compelling visualizations that help leaders understand and act on the data
- Take vague or open-ended questions and turn them into structured analyses, working through ambiguity to identify what data are needed and arrive at actionable answers
- Build, maintain, and improve recurring reports and dashboards serving HR leadership and key business-side partners
- Contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of employee surveys
- Collaborate cross-functionally with partners such as Compensation, Finance, Recruiting, and HR Business Partners to support analytical needs and strategic projects
- Perform recurring data quality audits and support the team's data governance practices, recognizing that the credibility of our analyses rests on the integrity of the underlying data
You should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in business operations and strategy, consulting, people analytics, or a related analytical field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including comfort querying and working with data pulled directly from enterprise data sources
- Strong data visualization skills, capable of crafting views that communicate clearly to senior audiences
- Meticulous attention to detail, good judgment, and a dedication to accuracy and discretion; our findings reach senior audiences and involve sensitive data, so getting things right matters deeply
- A collaborative working style, demonstrating skill in partnering effectively across functions and building trust with colleagues at varying levels of seniority and technical acuity
- Comfort with ambiguity and a structured approach to working through unstructured challenges
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver consistently across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Additional skills we value, though not required:
- Proficiency with Tableau or comparable visualization platforms
- Fluency with statistical concepts and methods (e.g., correlation, regression, significance testing)
- Familiarity with SQL, Google BigQuery, or similar tools for directly querying data warehouses and building reporting views
You will enjoy the following benefits:
- Core Benefits: Fully paid medical and dental insurance premiums for employees and dependents, competitive 401k match, employer-paid life & disability insurance
- Perks: Onsite gyms with laundry service, wellness activities, casual dress, snacks, game rooms
- Learning: Tuition reimbursement, conference and training sponsorship
- Time Off: Generous vacation and unlimited sick days, competitive paid caregiver leaves
- Hybrid Work Policy: Flexible in-office days with budget for home office setup
The base pay for this role will be between $115,000 and $140,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
