Job Description

Talech, Inc. is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer – DevOps in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer - DevOps will work with development teams to support production releases. Create highly available and scalable infrastructure in AWS cloud using EC2, ELB, Security Groups, Networks Access Controls, Cloud Watch, and Autoscaling groups. Manage storage (EBS), subnet groups, and security groups to support AWS RDS database initiatives. Deploy and configure Nessus agent on EC2 instances for vulnerability and identify security issues and risks. Implement CI/CD process for building Airflow container images. Set up Jenkins pipelines to run security scans. Create automated setup to run Fortify and Black Duck scans of source code for applications. Deploy containerized applications using Docker onto a Kubernetes cluster. Set up CI/CD pipeline by integrating various tools with CloudBees Jenkins. Configure and manage PostgreSQL instances on AWS instances per specified requirements. Configured and automate Jenkins build pipeline jobs for CI/CD. Develop and maintain deployed jobs for application code deployment for teams across all environments. Write Jenkins pipeline code and support the build and deployments. Write custom Pipeline code for project specific built and deployed namespaces for Development, Stage and Production. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Build and Release Engineer.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: (a) planning, deploying, maintaining and monitoring AWS cloud infrastructure EC2 nodes; (b) working on application deployment and data migration on AWS-Cloud Formation; (c) implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with Docker and Jenkins; (d) working on improvements of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)Software Release Management strategies for applications; (e) deploying applications in cloud through automation; (f) managing and designing Docker deployment pipeline for custom application images in the cloud using Jenkins; (g) designing strategies to increase the velocity of development and release for Continuous Integration, delivery and deployment, using Jenkins; (h) configuring and designing Azure Virtual Networks, network settings, subnets, DHCP address blocks, DNS settings, routing, and security policies; and (i) utilizing all of the following: Python; Git; Maven; Agile Software Development Lifecycle; and DevOps principles.
