Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer – Credit Card Processing Systems (multiple openings) in San Francisco, CA. The Senior Software Engineer – Credit Card Processing Systems is responsible for building, architecting, and delivering highly dependable, secure, and scalable systems for our credit card processing department. Specific duties include: (1) analyzing complex systems and designing highly secured, robust, and scalable solutions using micro service-based architecture for easier cloud migrations; (2) identifying, evaluating, managing risk and designing risk mitigation strategies using Data Analysis, Database, Unix, Windows, and HTML; (3) writing REST Web Services for UI and mobile development and writing Selenium automation Tests for testing on Saucelabs; (4) utilizing and implement scrum methodologies to design and develop teams responsible for building and managing BigData pipelines to feed data for analytics; (5) working with the following tools and technologies: Java 8, Spring MVC, Avro, Node v16.13.2, Docker, Jest, React, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful Web Service, Junit, Mockito, GIT, SQL Developer, Cornerstone, and SAFe Agile; (6) designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products for credit card processing; (7) writing production-ready and testable code; (8) creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; (9) performing analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements; and (10) designing highly independent and lightweight services to support event driven framework and enhance data consistency and reliability among various domains.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience building, architecting, and delivering highly dependable, secure, and scalable systems.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) analyzing complex systems and designing highly secured, robust, and scalable solutions using micro service-based architecture for easier cloud migrations; (2) identifying, evaluating, managing risk and designing risk mitigation strategies using Data Analysis, Database, Unix, Windows, and HTML; (3) writing REST Web Services for UI and mobile development and writing Selenium automation Tests for testing on Saucelabs; (4) designing highly independent and lightweight services to support event driven framework and enhance data consistency and reliability among various domains; (5) utilizing and implementing scrum methodologies to design and develop teams responsible for building and managing BigData pipelines to feed data for analytics; and (6) working with the following tools and technologies: Java 8, Spring MVC, Avro, Node v16.13.2, Docker, Jest, React, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful Web Service, Junit, Mockito, GIT, SQL Developer, Cornerstone, and SAFe Agile. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
