Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Senior Asset Manager to join our IT Asset Management (ITAM) team. This position plays a critical role in overseeing hardware asset tracking, reporting, and compliance across the enterprise while also supporting operational and technical CMDB activities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ServiceNow’s Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and CMDB modules, have a strong understanding of IT lifecycle and model management, and be capable of working cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, compliance and process efficiency.
Additionally, this role is responsible for implementing and maintaining information on technology-based hardware assets and their status, tracking and reporting on all hardware across the network, and monitoring for unauthorized instances. The individual will assist business lines in defining requirements and prioritization, as well as define asset tracking processes, policies, and procedures to ensure all assets are accurately recorded, tracked, and reported. The role will lead the implementation of asset tracking methods or tools, monitor and report on compliance, and participate in audit reviews and business processes related to hardware assets. The position provides technical leadership to other team members, maintains positive relationships with vendors while managing day-to-day operations, and actively participates in the integration of asset management with other business functions and systems. Furthermore, the role will implement and refine repeatable processes and controls to demonstrate quality and regulatory compliance.
This position is responsible for operational work related to the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), requiring the individual to have a comprehensive understanding of the CMDB, including the structure and relationships of Configuration Items (Cis), their attributes, and the critical role this information plays in relation to hardware assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Asset and CMDB Operations
- Manage and resolve CMDB incidents related to configuration items (CIs)
- Maintain and update CIs to ensure integrity and alignment with real-world infrastructure
- Analyze CMDB discovery-related incidents and correlate discovery errors to non-discoverable assets
- Serve as a CMDB Discovery Admin, leveraging discovery insights to support operational accuracy and reporting
- IT Asset Lifecycle & Certification
- Implement and manage hardware certification schedules across the bank
- Monitor asset statuses across their lifecycle, ensuring data quality and lifecycle alignment
- Lead the execution and monitoring of model management, including standardization and EOL Processes
- Analyze and push for full Asset normalization and lifecycle data from the ServiceNow Content Library
- Platform and Process Integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements for asset data accuracy
- Assist in defining and enforcing governance models for asset tracking and inventory management
- Refine and implement repeatable processes that meet quality and regulatory standards including FFIEC and NIST guidelines
- Advocate for automation opportunities in current manual processes (“shift-left” mindset)
- Strategic Leadership and Support
- Provide technical leadership to team members and business partners, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Work across asset management disciplines including infrastructure end-user hardware, and software
- Support SLA metrics related to model onboarding and asset reporting
- Maintain strong vendor and contractor oversight for daily asset operations
- Contribute to the integration of asset management with broader business systems and functions
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 year's experience with the processes, tools and guidelines for overseeing and optimizing the costs and revenues for IT services.
- At least 5 year's experience with management approaches, tools, and techniques for managing IT assets.
- At least 5 year's experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
- 5+ years working in a hardware infrastructure or IT operational environment
- Proven experience with asset lifecycle and model management processes
- In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, especially the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and CMDB modules
- Familiarity with FFIEC and NIST regulatory frameworks for IT asset compliance
- Experience managing asset inventory for servers, network devices, end-user equipment, and software
- Strong understanding of SLA, MTTR, and operational process improvement

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
