Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - ICS Credit Card Processing Systems in Jacksonville, Florida.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer - ICS Credit Card Processing Systems will participate in the refinement of stories related to the technical infrastructure of the ICS system, and to ensure that stories are ready for development using JIRA. Essential responsibilities include: develop COBOL, JCL, VSAM and DB2 Mainframe components for ICS conversions application; create unit test plans using Zephyr in JIRA to ensure that developed code is tested for different scenarios; perform testing using IBM Developer IDz to ensure that the developed components adhere to best practices; schedule new jobs and monitor the existing jobs using CA7 Scheduler application; create change requests for production implementation using Service Now; deploy the COBOL and JCL code to production environment using Gitlab and Jenkins; monitor the issues in production and provide accurate resolution using ServiceNow; collaborate with other engineers during Sprint Ceremonies like Sprint Planning and Daily scrum; keep the ICS System documentation updated using Microsoft Word and Excel; and building new flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio for the stories under development. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering (any) plus 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience as a Software Engineer, Consultant, or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience with all of the following: participating in standup calls for Agile projects to groom new Stories for a Sprint; creating and updating stories in JIRA; identifying, analyzing and documenting business needs to ensure solutions meet objectives; performing system impact analysis to identify and assess potential consequences of technical changes; designing, developing, testing and deploying new products; reviewing and managing code delivered by other team members; performing production support and addressing production issues and code fixes in production; mainframe application development; designing and developing DB2 tables and code; development and maintenance of OpenText Exstream code; COBOL; JCL; VSAM; DB2; Scheduler; ServiceNow; Jira; and Agile.
