We are building a next-generation web platform that combines AI-driven content creation, CMS innovation, and data-driven rendering pipelines to publish high-performing pages at scale.

As a Software Engineer II – Web, you’ll work on the platform that powers thousands of SEO-optimized, AI-generated pages, enabling Uber’s teams to go from idea to live experience in minutes. You’ll build tools and frameworks that allow cross-functional teams to manage metadata, track performance, and optimize reliability — all while meeting the highest standards for quality and speed.

1. Contribute to the Uber.com web platform and CMS powering thousands of data- and AI-generated pages
2. Build React-based templates and reusable components to deliver high-quality, branded web experiences
3. Integrate with AI services and APIs that generate copy, metadata, layout variations, and structured data
4. Ensure our web pages are fast, accessible, and SEO-optimized through proper use of metadata, canonical tags, schema.org, and Lighthouse guidelines
5. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and SEO/marketing partners to develop high-impact experiments and features
6. Improve page generation speed, error resilience, and uptime across Uber.com
7. Help evolve the internal content publishing pipeline to support experimentation, A/B testing, and internationalization
8. Convert Fusion based Web to GoLang based architectire

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
2. 2+ years of professional experience in web development, including React and modern JavaScript (ES6+/TypeScript)
3. Strong fundamentals in HTML/CSS, responsive design, and web accessibility
4. Familiarity with SEO best practices (e.g., metadata, semantic HTML, page speed, structured data)
5. Experience working with CMSs or page-building frameworks

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

1. Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), static generation (SSG), and edge rendering (e.g., Fastly, Cloudflare)
2. Understanding of AI-powered content systems, LLMs, or generative tools in a production setting
3. Familiarity with GraphQL, REST APIs, and integration of backend data into dynamic web templates
4. Exposure to web performance tooling (Lighthouse, WebPageTest), and observability platforms (Sentry, DataDog, Grafana)
5. Knowledge of web publishing automation, sitemap management, and international SEO strategies
