About the Role
We’re disrupting the transportation space and growing globally by pioneering insurance accessibility for the millions who move with Uber every day.
Uber is designing innovative, embedded insurance solutions that protect our platform users against life’s uncertainties. As an Embedded Insurance Operations Analyst, you are the engine behind this mission—optimizing product performance and accelerating our global footprint.
This role is built on strategic partnership. You will act as the primary operational ally to our Regional Insurance Risk Managers, serving as their eyes and ears on the ground. By identifying strategic gaps and execution hurdles, you will empower Risk Managers with the insights they need to scale. You won’t just report problems; you will proactively diagnose complexities across the product life-cycle—from pre-launch to full rollout—and present Risk Managers and cross-functional teams with clear, actionable paths forward. Your ability to influence these stakeholders and drive collaborative problem-solving is what will ensure our programs run flawlessly and achieve world-class product-market fit.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Problem Identification & Resolution: Proactively diagnose obstacles and growth opportunities across product, marketing, financial, invoicing, compliance, and technical workstreams. You will act as a strategic bridge, partnering with the relevant Risk Managers and cross-functional teams to architect and execute solutions that eliminate or reduce inefficiencies and drive program performance.
- Drive Execution: Understand and work towards achievement of KPIs for the embedded insurance portfolio on a program level basis, including adoption levels and premiums generated.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with internal stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Analytics, Marketing, and Program Management) to prioritize projects and align on growth strategies, such as improving funnel metrics and channel selection.
- Collaborating with External Partners: Our external partners are key stakeholders as they manage claims, hold the risk, and compliance requirements. They are our partners and this role will optimize and influence relationships with external brokers, carriers, and insurtechs to provide operational support and drive program growth.
- Product Evolution: Develop insights and identify emerging risks across programs by assessing regional market needs, regulatory requirements, and risk profiles.
- Operational Excellence: Partner with Regional Risk Managers to steer program operations through the entire lifecycle, providing inputs on coverage structures, limits, and underwriting eligibility. You will lead the coordination with Finance to architect compliant financial flows and establish robust reporting mechanisms that surface performance data and operational blockers to local teams. Additionally, you will take ownership of country-specific invoicing and compliance requirements, ensuring all programs meet local regulatory standards
