About the Role
The Global Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Support organization defines the strategy for customer and partner support and oversees implementation, performance, and improvement across experiences of the AV Support ecosystem. As autonomous vehicles (AVs) become an increasingly important part of Uber’s offering, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Data Analyst for our AV Support team. As a Lead, you will shape and influence a world class experience for our customers and partners interacting with AV support at Uber. This role will focus on defining our analytics and insights strategy for AV Support while also producing insights that reduce defective experiences, increase user adoption (and retention), and evaluate the effectiveness of our policies & tech.
You will work across multiple teams to develop foundational AV Support metrics, drive high impact analyses and recommendations; and build scalable tools that enable internal and external stakeholders to democratize data and act upon insights. While you'll spend significant time performing hands-on analysis, you'll equally be expected to communicate findings, influence stakeholders, and drive measurable business outcomes. You will be working on a wide range of high-priority projects, and have exposure to multiple stakeholders within our team and across Uber (Operations, Product and Engineering). Additionally, you will help to leverage insights from support interactions to drive product and operational improvements.
What You Will Do
- Define the AV Support Analytics and Insights Strategy while working to redefine foundational AV Support metrics.
- Determine strategic projects to develop analyses on in order to improve the experience of our customer, partner, and Uber AV Ecosystem interactions.
- Drive insight generation in order to quantify the value of support and advise return on investment tradeoffs.
- Leverage cutting edge AI and analytics tools to build self-service data products and develop insights that move the business forward.
- Partner with senior leadership to advocate for customer-first changes to our products, app features, and support policies.
- Develop analyses and analytical frameworks that quantify the impact (and efficiency) of new business processes, products and / or tools while supporting decision-making across various markets.
- You will serve as the Analytics & Insights (A&I) expert for the AV team and partner with other A&I experts across teams to ensure incorporation of best practices and alignment across businesses.
Basic Qualifications

- Exceptional data storytelling and communication skills, with experience translating complex analyses into compelling recommendations that influence executive decision-making.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into scalable solutions.
- Experience with Python and AI tools (like Cursor or Claude Code) to analyze data and automate workflows.
- Experience working on advanced A/B testing data (exposure to experimental design is a plus).
- Experience working with customer support or customer insights.
