About The Role

The Community Operations organization at Uber is responsible for delivering world-class customer support to riders, drivers, eaters, and couriers. Members of the Data & Analytics team in Uber's Community Operations organization deliver analytical solutions, such as reports or dashboards, and actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, enable scalable customer support, and help our operational teams drive a world-class customer experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Conceptualize and build intermediate reports & dashboards

  • Identify trends in data sets & operational weaknesses

  • Support business deep dives on data and insights generation

  • Help measure the impact of new processes

  • Perform business deep dives on data and insights generation

  • Build statistical tools & models to aid decision-making

  • Automate reports & dashboards

  • Support questions from requesters

  • Mentor and train team members

  • Perform data mining or statistical modeling

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience in analytics

  • Strong analytics, SQL, and web query skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets including experience using intermediate and advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP / QUERY / ARRAY, IF statements)

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Some project management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google Scripting

  • Experience with Javascript (JS)

  • Experience with Python or R

  • Intermediate knowledge of relational database structures
