About the Department
Job Summary
The role is intended to operate on a pre-doc model, with the Research Specialist remaining in the role for one or two years before pursing graduate studies, although this can be extended by mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
Builds and manages data sets.
Helps design research studies.
Codes and implements statistical and econometric analyses.
Writes and edits research documentation.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Performs other related work as needed.

Education:
Coursework with statistics, econometrics, and/or data science.
Experience:
0-2 years of knowledge, skills, and academic and/or professional experience with research projects in economics is strongly preferred.
Current undergraduate students expecting to graduate in spring or summer 2025 are welcome to apply. The applicant hired is expected to begin working between July 1 and September 1.

Competence and experience programming in a statistical software language such as Stata or R.
