Job Summary
Responsibilities
Organoid Culture & Disease Modeling
Growth, maintenance, and long-term banking of organoid models and cell lines.
Application of organoid systems for physiological, cell biological, and disease modeling studies.
Drug testing to assess therapeutic responses and identify treatment strategies.
Core Facility Management
Oversee daily operations of the organoid core, ensuring research and development objectives are met.
Serves as a resource for a team of researchers, technicians, and trainees involved in organoid culture and experimentation.
In coordination with the PI, approve of Workday hours and oversee personnel time management.
Manage procurement of laboratory reagents, consumables, and equipment.
Ensure high-quality control standards and reproducibility of organoid-based studies.
Collaboration & Reporting
Facilitate collaborations with other laboratories, faculty members, and research scientists to integrate organoid models into broader research initiatives.
Participate in weekly lab meetings and provide progress updates on organoid core activities.
Identify challenges, propose solutions, and contribute to future strategic planning for organoid-based research.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, organizational skills, and leadership abilities to advance organoid-based research and support the ongoing development of the organoid core and primary culture research core.
Applies research principles and relevant subject matter knowledge relevant to administer a research project. With a moderate level of direction, manages lab and/or research-related duties and tasks. Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.
Supports data collection and analytical needs of research projects. Conducts literature reviews and helps write reports and manuscripts. Ensures project compliance with different policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Takes responsibility for the following laboratory duties: recognizing abnormal results and varying conditions or procedures to correct problems; setting up and performing experiments. Analyze the meaning, significance, causes, and effects of the subject.
Performs other related work as needed.

PhD in a Biological Sciences or a related field.
Experience:
Demonstrates technical excellence in cell culture and organoid models.
Experience with molecular biology techniques.
Knowledge of research techniques or methods.
