About the Department
Job Summary
Responsibilities
Under supervision, the Research Technologist will plan, design, and execute experiments, adapt existing procedures to the needs of the project, troubleshoot, and contribute intellectually to the project.
Perform support activities and lab maintenance.
Conduct experiments for projects investigating new experimental therapeutics in leukemias. This includes traditional molecular biology (wet lab) experiments such as Western blotting, cell culture, in vitro drug experiments as well as in vivo work focusing on treatment of mice harboring leukemias, and ultimately harvesting organs from these animals when experimental endpoint is met.
Maintain and order lab supplies.
Maintenance of mouse colonies, breeding transgenic models of leukemia.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Performs other related work as needed.
