Job Summary
Responsibilities
Works with participants across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
Provides direct patient care: Performs nursing assessments, conducts protocol specified procedures, administers study medications, and monitors patient safety during visits.
Collects and manages data: Records clinical data, maintains case report forms, and supports data integrity for audits and monitoring visits.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, coordinators, lab staff to support study progress.
Educates participants and families: Explains study procedures and provide ongoing support across study timeline.
Adheres to ICH-GCP guidelines, professional nursing practice standards, patient-centered care principles and evidence based best practices in all interactions with research participants.
Reports adverse drug reactions and other safety concerns to the Principal Investigator and study team.
Has a solid understanding of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Applies logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Interprets information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
Has a solid understanding of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
Performs other related work as needed.

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
Two years of experience as a nurse in clinical research coordination/management.
Preferred Competencies
Fundamental working knowledge of clinical research.
Knowledge of patient care fundamentals, including aseptic principles and techniques.
Ability to provide direct patient care in a professional and respectful manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to read documents or instruments.
Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks with occasional interruptions.
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive situations.
Ability to solve problems by applying math or reasoning principles.
Ability to adapt to changing working situations and work assignments.
Strong phlebotomy and venous access (IV) skills.
