The Brumbaugh lab is seeking enthusiastic and talented applicants for an open professional research assistant position. This position would include both research and administrative opportunities.

The Brumbaugh lab in the Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology department at the University of Colorado Boulder.

The Brumbaugh lab is part of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado-Boulder. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Administrative Duties
  • Coordinate lab repositories of plasmids and cell lines
  • Organize biosafety certification and animal husbandry protocols
  • Introduce incoming lab members to common laboratory practices and safety guidelines
  • Oversee ordering of research items
  • Communicate with vendor representatives regarding orders
Wet Lab Duties
  • Maintain common lab reagents, equipment, and consumables
  • Organize, breed, and genotype mouse colonies
  • Unpack and distribute orders upon arrival
  • Design and execute experiments in support of ongoing projects in the lab

What We Can Offer

The hiring range for this position is $38,000 - $50,000 annually.

What We Require

  • B.S., B.A., or equivalent degree in molecular biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, or a related field.

What You Will Need

  • A working knowledge of basic software (word, excel, PowerPoint).
  • A strong interest in developmental and molecular biology.
  • The ideal candidate would be highly organized and possess strong interpersonal skills.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Lab experience, particularly in the areas of molecular biology, developmental biology, and animal husbandry (mouse work) is preferred.
