| Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The Research Coordinator for the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the A. James Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park works with Principal Investigators (PIs) through the development, submission, award, execution and close out of sponsored projects. The Coordinator advises faculty on all elements and procedures required for proposal preparation, development, and submission and on appropriate expenditures, award specific terms, and regulations. The Coordinator also obtains and follows solicitation instructions for the preparation of the proposals and prepares proposal budgets, gathers information to support the proposed costs, and completes all required sponsor cost proposal forms. The A.
