Molecular Biology-based work in designing and developing CRISPR/Cas9 reagents for generation of genetically altered model systems; utilize molecular biology methods such as DNA purification and PCR reactions; culture and perform single cell molecular biology methods to characterize CRISPR/Cas9 activity; develop and perform approaches to characterize CRISPR/Cas9 edited models to ensure correct genetical alterations with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS); breed and manage complex genetically altered animal models; and perform hands-on work with genetically modified animal models for experimental purposes.
Required Qualifications*
Ph.D in biology-based field + 5 yrs of post-doctoral research experience using: complex genetically altered animal models; Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) methods; CRISPR/Cas9 for genome editing; molecular biology methods, including cloning, PCR, and protein synthesis; and tissue/cell culture.

Background Screening
