Job Summary
Assist Dr. Heather Dawson and graduate students with a fish ecology study during the Summer of 2025.
Responsibilities*
- Assisting the research faculty member by conducting cell culture experiments that examine the role of ion channels in musculoskeletal cell function
- Analyzing and graphing data obtained from these experiments
- Ordering material needs for the laboratory
Required Qualifications*
- Must be a currently enrolled UM-Flint undergraduate student
- Must by recommended by a Biology faculty member
- Successful completion or enrolled in BIO 113, PHY 143 and PHY 145
- Familiarity with the Musculoskeletal System
Desired Qualifications*
- Expertise in cell culture with multiple clonal cell lines
- Knowledge of biophysical approaches and techniques in biology
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
